How do I replace a Hayward multiport valve?

I don't know if I can do this without professional help, but figured I'd at least ask to see what's involved. I've been searching for YouTube tutorials and have found nothing that covers my setup. How do I remove these fittings? Do I have to saw the pipe off and get a new fitting and glue it to a new pipe that screws into the valve?

Okay thanks. Do I need to do any other prep work besides draining the filter and turning off the pump? Also, can I just use regular plumber's primer and cement glue for the coupling? Lastly, do I use teflon tape on the threads or do I have to use some kind of lube or grease?

I did it! I was able to successfully install a new multiport valve yesterday. This morning I was able to run the pump for the first time in two months and there are no leaks! I am so happy! Now I feel like I can finally start learning how to care for this pool. Thank you for the help!
