Hello...I tried searching for this, but could not find it on the forums. I have an above ground pool with a heater and both pvc ball valve broke (1.5") and are in need of replacement. I'm looking for a quality valve where its easy to turn and will last. The generic ball valves are too tight or the handle breaks off. I googled this, I looked on pool equipment websites, no luck....need your guys help. Thanks.

Look at Praher ball valves that have unions on both ends and replaceable parts.

Was in my local farm/ag hardware store today and they carry this style of ball valve, with unions on each end. I;ve never used this style. Does it make them rebuildable, like the Jandy valves? I guess, at the very least, you could undo the unions and replace the entire center section, if needed.

Depending on the valve it may be rebuildable or replaceable. Either one is much better then the cheap glued in ball valves that you need to cut out if they have any problems.
