High CYA in Need of Help

In short I must’ve made a mistake when testing to balance and added too much stabilizer. I’m in the process of draining off since the enzymatic CYA reducers are a gamble. I have a 28,000 gal vinyl lined pool. The liner is at least 7+ years old. A. How far is it safe to drain?
B. Once drained and refilled what do I tackle first?

I have tested with the hth kit and the Clorox 6-in-1 strips. The CYA was too high to read a result. I could attempt dilution but concerned I’ll mess it up honestly.

You need a proper test kit. I suggest the TF-100/Pro or Taylor K2006C. A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols.
