Here's part # - long screws for pentair valve + 3rd party actuator mounting

You have pentair valves but you want to mount a 3rd party actuator to it without stripping/breaking the valve. Here is the part number for the long stainless screws:
CVA-SCRJ
(the screws in the bag are the short ones I took out of the valve)

Have mounted Jandy, Hayward, Pentair, Intermatic actuators with the included long screws that came with the actuator to every imaginable valve combination, including Waterway and CMP valves with never an issue. Just don't use power tools.

You're probably right. I was just going by the tip under "Valve Actuators - Further Reading":

Tips
Screws
To mount an actuator, you have to remove 4 screws and install 4 longer screws.

The problem with using a valve actuator from one brand and a valve from a different brand is that the screws have a different thread.

The screws are self tapping and they will bite into the existing plastic threads, but it will damage the threads.

By using the same brand, the thread is the same and you should be able to avoid cross-threading.

The screws came with my pentair actuator. They definitely caught and followed right into the original threads smoothly. I ordered 2 more actuators and went with the pentair again because a cheaper actuator + the screws would have been almost the same cost. I saw some poor reviews for some of the budget actuators. Anyway there's the part # for whoever needs it.
