Help to determine pH level?

I'd call it just under 7.5 so approximately 7.4. pH does not have to be exact. Anywhere in the 7s is fine as long as your CSI is good.
Thanks. I have a problem really telling 7.5 and 7.8 apart. So as long as my water color is vaguely one of those and not venting into brighter pink or lighter orange I’ll assume I’m good to go.

A consistent background is key. To get good backlighting, hold the block in front of your computer monitor/tablet/phone with a blank white screen displayed. Also, try holding the block sideways or upside down. Sometimes that helps distinguish colors better. I also use two old hotel keycards to mask off areas and narrow down my decision.

So in your example are you at 8.2? That’s what it looks likes to me.

I have a tough time in this color range determining where things are at. Anyone care to take a look and tell me what you think?

You are getting some shadowing as the sample color has numetous shades to it.
Make sure it's mixed well by inverting the test block 3-4 times and hold the block a few inches in front of a white background.

If the color is still difficult to determine, try adding only 4 drops of reagent instead of 5. This sometimes makes it easier to determine the reading.
