I have an aboveground pool with a 150 SwimPro Voyager Filter system, this is my 4th year using this setup. I just opened my pool and connected everything but the top cover piece that goes over the filter refuses to properly close. There are two handles you have to squeeze to enable the top to screw closed. I either can't squeeze the handles tight enough or something's happened where it refuses to rotate enough to make the proper seal. The O-ring is located within/under this rotating piece so I can't access it.
Hoping one of you might have found a solution for filters like this? Any feedback would be welcomed.

I don't have that filter, but when you mentioned the O-ring I wondered if you applied any pool silicone? Maybe that would help?
