** EDIT **
Thanks to titleistseemore, I think I have the correct terminology.

I need the female side of a Union that will connect to the male side of the Bestway Pump/Filter input and output.

Original:
I am hard plumbing my Bestway pool and I need a removable threaded adapter to transition from 2" flexible pvc to the threaded male connections on the pump/filter. For some reason I am having a hard time finding what I need. The male thread pattern seems to fit a 2" pvc female threaded adapter , but connecting the slip end to the pvc pipe then won't be easily removable.

I couldn't find anything at Home Depot, but purchased several different parts on Amazon. The thread diameter is way too large on all of these adapters:

Can anyone direct me to what they used? Or what plumbing search terms I'm looking for?

Basically, I need this Bestway part with a pipe insert that can be connected to a pvc pipe:

It has been a long time since I have done this for my Intex Pool. I purchased and adapter from the metric Intex threads to pipe thread.

This is what I used, not sure if the Best way pool has the same threads as an intex but you should be able to look that up on the internet or your pool manual.

Thanks, I have this adapter. Bestway must use the same plumbing, because I am using it to connect the Bestway flexible piping to the 1 1/2" hard piping I"ve already installed. I need the other side of the connection to replace the included bestway pipe.

I had My intex pool hard plumbed except the flexible hoses. I used a Hayward Pump and Filter. If you post a picture of the connection you are trying to make I will try to help. All my intex stuff is gone as I am about to break ground on an in-ground pool. Here is the adapter you are already using on my Hayward Pump ….

I created my own as well in this photo. We were concerned with our small kids that the water level was too high, so we filled to pool about 2/3’s and then I created this adapter so that the return water coming from the pump to the pool was under water ….

Thanks again for your help, I appreciate it.

On both the supply and the return, I already set up 1 1/2" hard plumbing to a threaded ball valve. I connected the adapter you mentioned to the ball valve, so that I could temporarily use the Bestway flexible pipe to get the pump & filter running.

I now want to do away with the flexible pipe (and also move the pump 25' away), so I need some kind of adapter to connect to the inlet of the pump and the outlet of the sand filter.

It appears that the 2" female pvc threaded adapter will make this connection (although I suspect that it's not a direct match, with the mm to inch conversion), but I don't want to use the pvc adapter anyway, because I don't see how I will be able to easily disconnect.

Here is another photo of some of my plumbing. I found my old build threadView attachment 409826

Yes, so that adapter works perfectly to attach to standard plumbing on the output of the Hayward filter. I'm trying to make the opposite connection, connect standard hard plumbing to the inlet and outlet of the Bestway pump/filter.

I kept the flexible hoses so that I did not have to have an adapter for the water inlet to the pump / filter and the returns. Later I added a Hayward skimmer which was all hard plumbed due to having Hayward pump and filter. Hopefully a person who had done this with a Bestway can chime in

1 1/2" and 2" union linked above (amazon links)

Thanks for your help, hopefully at least the additional photos will help someone who's done this understand what I'm trying to do (while using the wrong terminology, I suspect!).

I believe that Intex and Bestway have the same connections, so hopefully, someone has done the same thing with Intex.

These items I found on the internet, looks like in the UK they have these adaptors …. Research on the TFP forums 40 mm female adapter for intex or Bestway pools. Someone has had to so this before ….

This second one appears to be exactly what I need, if I can find it in the US. Thank you, I will also follow up on your other links.
