heat pump - no power

My heat pump seems to have no power.

Everything was A ok til ~ 1- 2 wk ago. I haven’t checked the heat pump but yesterday kids jumped in and water was cold. There are no colors or numbers on the display.

The HP is set up on its own circuit and we tried resetting the breaker; nothing.

The pool filter pressure had been a little high and was overdue for a backflush, which we did just 1-2 d before noticing the HP wasn’t on. The pool filter pressure is back to normal but HP still doesn’t run.

There is a breaker for the entire power box, but it powers my hot tub, pool filter/pump, pool HP, and my RV carport so I’m hesitant to flip that unless necessary.

The HP doesn’t have a switch or plug itself so there’s no other way to change anything.

I think the HP will flip off if pressure is low, so maybe something happened when pool pressure was high, but that should be resolved now - almost seems like I just need to get the HP on to recognize the pressure is normalized again.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Every HP and AC unit is required to have a electrical disconnect near it.

Check the capacitor.

Check the contactor and where the power wires connect into the unit.

Below are melted wires and a bad contactor from a Pentair UntraTemp HP...

Thank you - everything under the panel looks absolutely pristine. We shut off our main power and turned back on - nothing.

Going to have to call our pool guy. Haven’t been too impressed with our equipment quality/durability. We installed this 3 years ago and last year, after 2 years, the pool pump went bad and needed replacing; now the HP is not functioning.
