It's perfectly fine to use. Be sure to open the box and check the date on the jugs. You want the date code to be 20019 or higher (200=Julian day of the year 19=year). 20019 is a manufacturing date of July 19, 2019.
Interesting observation about Home Depot and LC storage. Every time I've gone to purchase, they have it stored inside...except once. It was back in April or so, and when I went to look for it, they had moved it outside. I complained to the store manager and they tried to tell me it was ok, because the area was shaded (still, outside in Houston with temps headed into the 90's by June). I left without purchasing. The next time I went to purchase, they had moved it back inside. Apparently I wasn't the only one to complain?
I have several different Home Depots to choose from within 10 miles of my house or office. Before I go to stock up on 12-20 gallons at a time, I look to see which stores have the most jugs in stock and if there is one which has a huge inventory compared to the others, this gives good odds that they just received in a couple new pallets. All HD stores near me keep their chlorine outside so the boxes with lots of dust are easy to eliminate and I can usually get all my stock with a date of less than a month old. I hit the jackpot earlier this summer to find a bunch which were only 5 days old so I bought 21 gallons but these also took me over 2 months to use them all so I'm sure there was degrading since I store them in my shed outside.
