Hayward Super Pump VS 700 Omni

This 1.65 hp pump ranges from 600-3450 RPM ---- does anyone have the watts used per RPM for this pump?

How long are the pipe runs from pool to equipment pad?

What size is the plumbing diameter?

How many suction runs go from the pool all the way back to the equipment pad?

Full speed pressure = 19.5psi
Pipe Run from returns is approx 66’ - by steps - right end in pix
Pipe run to suction is approx 113’ - left end in pix
Plumbing is 2”
2 suction runs (1 skimmer and main drain)

Full Speed power is about 1130 Watts. For other speeds, use this formula

Power (Watts) = 20 + 1110*(RPM/3450)^3

Sorry, typo in the formula. Exponent should be 3 not 2.

Does the drive display not show the power? It should.

It shows % but I can change to RPMs. I’ve also discovered a “diagnosis” button which gives me the watts for each % setting. Your full speed # was very close, watts used read 1063 at 100%.

If you use %, then just use this:

Power (Watts) = 20 + 1110*(% Speed/100)^3

The actual power usage is dependent on the head loss in the plumbing. I did a rough estimate that looks to be a bit low.
