Hey guys,
I've had my OmniPL system for a little under a year and has been doing all that I was looking for. But this summer I found myself in the pool a few times and wanted to do something that would have required me to get out and grab my phone wet. I have a Google speaker close enough for commands so I remembered that the OmniPL was advertised as being integrated with Google home. They even say so on their website. Here's what I tried so far:
1. Omnilogic app - nothing about it
2. Omnilogic web portal - under settings there is a Nest tab and clicking it prompts you to log in. Once you log in, there's a message telling you that integrations should be done from the Google Home app and the steps to do so
3. Google Home app (which has been redesigned fairly recently): Devices > +Add > Works with Google > ...but there's no OmniLogic or Hayward in the list
4. I use Home Assistant for home integrations which is tied into Google Home....but that way Home Assistant only sees the pump or salt cell or temperatures but not the valves, water features, or lights. This integration with home assistant was built by kind volunteers with some support from the Hayward Project Manager (
Hayward Omnilogic? - long thread but the install directions are at the end).
I've Googled and read a bunch of Reddit discussions and came up empty handed. Common sense tells me that it should be done via the Google Home app but as you can see in Step 3, I just can't find the Hayward integration. Have they renamed it to something else or can someone please tell me if you found a way to do this? Thank you!
