My hayward 6060 pump(8 years old) that runs the pool sweep stopped operating(tripped the breaker). I saw that this is normally the starter capacitor so I replaced it but still having the same issue...Is there more than the one capacitor in this pump, I don't see any from parts diagram. When sweep is turned on, pump hums for about 3-5 seconds and then trips the breaker.. I do not see how I can verify that that the shaft is not seized, how do I do that? Thanks in advance!!

It appears that Hayward used a variety of motor types to support that pump, some with a cap and some with none. You might post a pic of your motor label and the pump itself so we can put some eyes on it for better reference.
