We are looking at a Hayward Unit, there are several options but I can’t find where on Haywards website the difference is between these two other than a few hundred dollars.

Anyone know what the difference is between a Hayward Aqua Rite (25000 gallons) and Hayward Swim Pure Extreme (25000 gallons) is?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know of any differences. I have a Goldline AquaRite, my son has the SwimPure and my neighbor has a Hayward AquaRite. As far as I can tell they are all the same except for name and graphics on the control panel. I would recommend that you buy a 40k rated unit though. Regardless of how big or small the pool is, the best bet is always the larger cell. Rating are based on chlorine production of a system running 27/7. Few people want to pay the cost to run their pumps 24 hours a day. All cells will produce only a finite quantity of chlorine before it is depleted. And since the cost of chlorine is the lifespan of the cell divided by the replacement cost, the best value is almost always the largest cell. You can always turn the output down if needed, but running a pump all night is an expensive way to boost output when you need it.

The Hayward systems are sold under a number of names. Some sell the control unit and cell separate, others only as a system. The complete system under the AquaRite trade name with the 40k rated cell is the AQR-15, you can find them for under $900. Unless you have or are adding automation that is what I would recommend. Here is just one example of a source and price.
