Hayward Aqua Rite - New circuit board but some display values have changed

Hello ... I am currently using a Hayward Aqua Rite salt water generator. Today I had to replace the circuit board, which went fine. I did not replace the actual display module as I was advised that was probably ok. However, now that it's installed, some of the display values are different/missing. Here are the new missing values:
- Program code shows "88-0"
- r value is "8.80"
- t cell value is missing ... I use a T-15

Is there some function I failed to do when installing this? Thank you for your feedback!

Did you get a genuine Hayward board or a clone board, likely Chinese manufactured?

It it by Optimum Pool Technologies.
I suggest you return the board and get a genuine Hayward board.

Or you can try and contact Optimum Pool Technologies for support.

Show me a picture of your old Hayward Aquarite board.

You want Hayward GLX-PCB-RITE

the board is 10 years old and stopped working.
Stopped working how?

Did you still have a display?

As long as the new board is producing, it is fine with the new numbers.

Can you post diagnostics for both boards?

Basic AquaRite Diagnostics.

This is the basic information we need to know in diagnosing a problem:

  • Report all diagnostic readings when you..
    • Move the switch from auto to off and check all of the readings.
    • Move the switch back to auto and recheck the readings.
    • Move the switch to off for a minute and then back to auto and recheck the readings.
  • What are the first seven characters of the cell and box serial numbers?
  • What is the actual salinity and how are you measuring it?

The thermistor is not likely to go bad on board revision r1.59
If there is no Display and no Lights, rest assured the U13 chip went south.

@OP,
The old board in your post is a Hayward OEM Aquarite mainboard with the newest software r1.59 and IMO, the best you can get. Either send out the board for repair or get the same replacement revision bd for durability. Stay away from the cloned/cheap Chinese knockoffs. Pre-Owned is fine as long as it is fully operational. For reference, pay attention to the Hayward labels as shown in the pic below.

This part looks brown to me, which indicates a likely blown fuse.

The fuses are cheap and available.

Maybe the fuse is physically damaged. But for the fuse to blow, one or both bridge rectifiers must be shorted. Per the OP, the replacement board worked just fine.
