Hello fellow TFP’ers. needing some advice.

My hayward aqualogic on com system started losing track of time. It looses anywhere from 4-10 hours a day, and looking on line, it sounds like the entire mother board needs replacement. Does anyone know if this is avoidable (it seems odd to me Hayward would design a timer, that when defective, would require an entire new board). Guessing money has something to do with it......... the board is very expensive, and I can only imagine what install would cost. Only lasted 3.5 years.

Does anyone know best (cheapest) place to get a replacement, if there are no other options? Any other suggestions? Very disappointed in Hayward right now.

thanks!!

I don't think that AquaLogic has be made for about 7 years. What is the first 4 of the serial number?

I cant find a serial number on the unit. The model is ONCOM. Or oncom-act-pod. Or it may be 3L15128-116525. That the only potential serial number is see inside the control
box. Thoughts? Appreciate the reply.

It was made May 08 2015 and has a 3 year warranty. Based on the manufacturing date, I would think that the installation date would be less than 3 years from today.

I would suggest a warranty claim.

Does the box say Aqualogic or ProLogic?

Goldline introduced AquaLogic in 2003. Hayward acquired Goldline in August of 2004. Hayward discontinued AquaLogic in 2008 and replaced it with Prologic.

Thank you!!! Could you share where you found that information please? The only thing on the box is on command. I don’t see aqua logic or prologic anywhere on or in the box.

Ok, I think that you need GLX-PCB-ONCOM Main PCB, OnCommand.

I recommend a warranty claim.

What was the installation date?

Yes, that’s what I’ve found searching on line as well. The install date would have been right around 3 years ago, however the construction wasn’t complete until sept, so I’m hopeful we should be covered. I made a mistake with my choice of pool builder, and not sure they will assist (long story). I may have to go directly to Hayward.

Cant thank III enough for the help!! When I phoned Hayward before the long weekend, they said everything only had a one year warranty. Could you steer me to where you found the above information please and thanks?

Go directly to Hayward. They can assist. The warranty information should be in the user manual. It would help if the product was registered after installation but it's not necessary.

3L15128
3 = years of warranty.
L = product type.
15 = year of manufacture.
128 = day of year made. (May 08 Friday).

I will call them back Tuesday AM. Thank you so much James! Much appreciated and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Just to close the loop on this thread, TFP saved the day for me, and a lot of money. I contacted Hayward and they told me twice that this part only had a one year warranty, and essentially i had to pay them almost a thousand dollars to repair and replace. After bringing up the information in this thread they retracted, and replaced the board under the 3 year warranty, no cost to me. Thanks again!!
