Hi Everyone! 6 years ago I bought a house with an existing in-ground pool, most likely built in the 1970’s. I know few details about some of the equipment as I have no paperwork regarding this pool, but having previously had above ground pools things have gone pretty well with this first in-ground pool. I’ve run into a problem now though. Last week my handle broke off on my multiport valve. My sand filter is from the Pro series by Hayward, and I know my Mutiport valve was also from Hayward. The handle isn’t what actually broke, rather the handle snapped off the piece the handle attaches to and it’s that piece that needs replacement. The label on the MPV came off a year or two ago, but I get by because I have the stations marked with bright tape and sharpie marker and it works for me! But now that I need to know the model of my MPV there is nothing visible on the MPV to tell me which model I have. Without that information I don’t know which replacement assembly to buy. Can anyone offer any advice for me so that I order the proper piece?
Thank you!
Leanne

Show us various pictures of the filter and MPV that can be used for identification.

Is the MPV on the top or the side of the filter?

Measure the size of the filter - height and diameter.

You have a Hayward S244T Sand filter. The manual is attached.
