Hair nets-how to put on basket

Someone recommended some bouffant hairnets from Amazon to catch large amounts of pollen and other fine material blowing in to the pool. I have them but not sure whether to put the filer between the skimmer basket and the filter or put on the inside of the basket. Duh...no idea if on the outside of the basket if the net came loose if it would mess up my DE filter?

Ok thank you. There is s cross piece that prevents me from folding over the elastic portion completely around? So this photo shows the “wrong way of attaching but how so insecure it if I include inside the basket?

On my basket I had a handle that was similar to that. It just snapped out and I went without a handle for the spring when I needed the net.

Just installed it on the inside and the weight of the basket is holding the net in place. All good. Thanks!
