GVA-24 leaking from behind.

Hi All,

I have a solar pool heater and part of the system is this GVA-24 actuator that controls whether the water flows up to the solar panels or not. Recently it has started to leak. I opened up the device and lubricated the o-ring I found inside (based on what I read on TFP. However, that doesn't seem to have stopped the leaking. The leak seems to be coming from behind the unit. I have added some pictures to illustrate where the leak is happening.

Any suggestions for a fix would be greatly appreciated.

Art,

You do know that the actuator does not connect to the water at all.. What is leaking is the Jandy valve itself..

Have you replaced the valve O-Rings??

Hi Jim, thanks for the reply. I did not know but thanks for the information.

The Jandy valve is what is behind the actuator? The O-Rings are inside the Jandy? (pardon the ignorance)

From the handle, think you have a Pentair valve, not a Jandy, but I think they're pretty much alike. There is one big o-ring, but there are 2 smaller ones for the handle itself - and that's probably what's leaking. I bought these to update my Jandys:
