I have an inground swimming pool 18x36 25,000 gallons of water vinyl liner. Just put in liner, new water however algae keeps coming back even with high chlorine amounts. Sand filter - sta-rite with a waterway 2hp pump I just did a water test and this is what is shows

free chlorine 10ppm
Total chlorine2-4ppm
Cyanuric acid 110
Alkalinity 175
PH 8

What can I do to get rid of the algae. have flocked the pool and shocked it every night and is just getting greener. Please if anyone can help with this mess, have a family picnic coming up need help now, have had 3 pool companies try to help but just money down the drain

 Welcome to TFP!!!

When was the new line installed?
What have you add to the pool since then?
What test kit did you use to get those results?

With algae, you can't just throw some powder in and think it will go away. We recommend you follow the SLAM Process process to eradicate the algae.
After that, the only way the algae can come back is if your let your FC get lower than the minimum listed for your CYA in the [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA].

I fear that your CYA is not WAY too high ... likely due to all the powders that you and the 3 pool companies have been throwing in it.

Have you discovered Pool School yet? Start with these:
ABCs of Water Chemistry
Recommended Pool Chemicals
How to Chlorinate Your Pool

10 ppm FC isn’t enough for your CYA. You need to drain at least 50% of your water and refill, then follow the SLAM process. You can SLAM at your current levels but it will take a LOT of liquid chlorine to do so

Wait until the OP gets a test kit and confirms his CYA level. Those tests look like pool store tests.

Especially with the claim of new water after a new liner. The story doesn't make sense yet to require a drain.
