I came across this problem two years ago when I customer of mine installed a Jacuzzi 2.7hp VS pump and the issue was eventually resolved by installing a 20amp siemens gfci breaker (I think it was plug on). Fast forward and the same issue has come up again with a new customer who has a similar setup only this time it's a waterway power defender 140. I think these siemens breakers may be discontinued (hence some extremely high pricing), so I'm wondering if there's another brand of breaker out there that may have more tolerance for the controlled motor.
Any help would be appreciated as the customer has to reset the breaker every couple of days when he notices that the pool is off. He is heading back up north soon and the salt system, without flow, will not be able to generate chlorine.
