Floating Deep end benches? Thoughts?

We're doing a rectangular pool. Our deep end is going to be 8' deep. Right now we have a small radius bench in each corner of the deep end. Our rationale was that we have 4 kids and we were concerned about the benches potentially getting in the way when they and their friends jump in.

For those of you with longer/bigger deep end benches for seating, are kids able to clear them when they jump in? Have you had any incidents?

Absolutely no issues for us. Though one whole side of our pool has no benches. See our build thread for pictures. I also highly recommend out deep end bench setup with two levels of benches (one deep one normal). Our deep bench is 36". I'd go 42" on that.

We have benches all around our pool and kids have never hit them when jumping in. At least not enough to make them cry or bleed. They love hanging out on the benches to rest, throw stuff, jump off, etc.

PB is doing rebar today, so we had to decide quick. We went with a 6' long bench on the side by the slide (there's still plenty of clearance for the slide) and a radius on at the other corner.
