Flex Tape for Stair Repair

Has anyone tried Flex Tape to repair cracks on fiberglass steps? I have pesky cracks that keep leaking. I’ve tried JB Weld putty which has worked well, but it eventually chips away over time. Any help or recommendations are appreciated!

I have tried it on a solar cover and it does not last long in the wet environment.

Thanks! So, are you saying to use the Marine-Tex product first, then apply the cloth? Should I drain my pool low enough so the steps are completely dry? That’s the nice thing about the JB Weld - you can apply it underwater, so no draining needed.

Haven't seen instructions. Best practice is to follow them.
