After a few years of my cleaning service raising rates I finally bit the bullet to do it myself. Plaster pool w/pebbletec, 11,970 gallons, Hayward turbocell SWG, cartridge filter.
The last results from my cleaner were 9/26.
Temp - 78, Chlorine 16.2, pH 8, Alk 75, CYA 65, Salt 4200 (they say range is 2700 - 3400), phospates 81, calcium 396, TDS (what?) 4200
Used 1 ten-2ay disk and 128 ounces of muriatic acid.
I ordered the TFTest Pro salt last summer (2023) and finally put it to use. Some things expired in July and others early next year. Afterwards I ordered a resupply for this week's tests.
10/5 results. All I did afterwards was put a 40lb bag of salt in the pool and wanted to wait to see what it says this weekend once I got my new kit.
PH 7.5 - 7.8 (hard to tell color), Free Chlorine 16, CC .5, total 16.5, calcium 750 (WTF happened in a week?), TA 50, CYA 80, salt 2200
Today 10/12 results with new TFTest pro chemicals.
PH 8.2, Free Chlorine 27, CC .5, total 27.5, calcium still 750, TA 60, CYA 50, salt 2600.
Pool math recommends replacing 42% of my water to get my calcium down to 450, add 104oz liquid stabilizer to hit 75 CYA, 9.7oz muriatic acid to hit target PH of 7.6.

Questions:
- how on has my FC jumped so much.
- On 9/20 it was 2 and the cleaning guy added 1 stabilized chlorine tab.
- My calcium scores are through the roof but the reports from the cleaning company are always around 325 - 350. I feel like they've possibly always been high as I have a lot of buildup on my tiles at the waterline.
