Has anybody had any success with this lately? Im trying to covert the drain plug on my Hayward Micro Clear filter to something with a value then to a garden hose because my equipment is in my garage and I can’t just open the plug and let water go everywhere. Usually it’s multiple trips with a wet vac which takes forever. Was trying to find something easier.
I got these adapters which fit perfectly in the filter drain plug (straight thread) but cannot find anything to convert the hose end to PVC.
I saw the YouTube video with modifying a 1-1/2 male NPT to 1-1/2 street, but they no longer sell those it appears (in my area at least). A 2” nut gets started on the hose end, but doesn’t go very far because I think it’s straight thread male into tapered female.
I’ve got no other ideas. Willing to make one more trip to hardware store tomorrow, otherwise going to give up so I can start filtering the pool and get it open.
