Fiberglass manufacturers

Utah
I'm in Utah, and I've been looking at doing a pool for a while. I've had quotes for fiberglass and gunite, and they just seem exorbitant. I think I fall into a preference for fiberglass. I'm also in construction, and I think it's easier to just do it myself and have any trades I can't do done by friends.
Unfortunately, I don't know anybody that's particularly knowledgeable on pools. I've researched for some time and it seems like one of the logistical challenges is getting the pool shell brought to salt Lake City. I know that there's a San Juan manufacturing plant in Arizona, but I'm not sure what other manufacturers are out west here. Can anyone give me some insight on that, or point me to a resource that I can use while I try to getting this sorted. Ideally, I'd like to get it put in in the spring. I've got an addition on the house that I'll probably do over the winter as well and it makes sense to do them at the same time.

I agree. I need to find out who has plants out here first so that is can call them. Most that I have tagged you already have been pretty willing to deal with me. Ideally I'd prefer a smaller company, which is party of what I'm hoping to find. I can also set up my construction company as as dealer for them. I know with San Juan it's pretty easy, but I'd like to know my options.

You probably already know the big names like Leisure, (absorbed Viking), Latham, San Juan, Barrier Reef, Thursday, etc. In Utah specifically, I'm seeing things like:
- Utah Pool Guy
- River Pools of Salt Lake
- Thursday Pools
- Crystal Pools & Spas

I'm sure there are a few others you might be able to reach out to.

I've talked to River, and Thursday and a few others. They all want to put it in for me. I'd rather do it myself. That's why I'm looking for the manufacturers near me specifically so that I can put it on one of my trucks and have it up this way.

If you want to be a dealer of fiberglass pools then you should let them install it for you so you know how it is supposed to be properly installed. Document it all with video and pepper them with questions since you want to be their distributor. Then go to their factory to see how they are made and what all the options are and then start selling them. I would say there are no short cuts to being a good distributor.

I don’t think he wants to be a dealer to sell them. He would just become a dealer to purchase his own and install it on his own if they won’t sell direct to consumer. I could have misinterpreted what he wrote, tthough. That has been known to happen before.

Yes and that's the case. Happy to work within their systems with the resources available to me, but want to do it in my own.

The installation of a fiberglass pool is everything as to its stability and longevity. IF a manufacturer would sell to someone to install themselves, all warranties would obviously be void.

Not sure it matters that much --- but may be why you will struggle to get one purchased direct to consumer.
