Why every time I go into Effects of Adding liquid chlorine it always defaults to 6% and I need to change it to 12.5% every time? Can I set it to stay at 12.5%?

Should stay at what you last used. Mine stays at 10%..

This is the Premium version of Poolmath, correct?

Have you added LC via the Add Chemicals on main page? That normally sets the default and then the Effects of Adding should pick it up.

I don’t mind.

iPhone 15. iOS 17.5.1
Great! Nice thing with this being on iOS is it’s easier for me to test. 😂

I too am seeing odd behaviors after mirroring your account, and I’m not sure what’s occurring. Let me continue to tinker a tiny bit to see what’s going on more.

I appreciate it.

We do see odd behavior in multiple areas of the “Effects of Adding” section of the app. This is likely due to the fact that it was never programmed to use or revert to any specific default settings. It’s actually more surprising that it’s working fine for some users at all, as it should technically be totally broken.

We are planning to review and alter this behavior, though we’re not yet sure what the new behavior will be. We always try to combine multiple items when updating because any change in the app requires a new review from Apple, and they can deny the update for any reason. Therefore, we minimize the number of times we put our product in front of their reviewers.

Right now, our primary focus is on addressing odd behavior where the app saves weird results, which is highly concerning to us. Unfortunately, we have not been able to reproduce this issue consistently, making it challenging to resolve.

For me, this is not a show stopper, only a curiosity. I can easily change that percentage when I use the tool. I appreciate you looking at things and I fully understand the deal with the Apple approval process.

I'm also seeing the logs all converting to 6%. So, if I add 29 oz. at 10%, the log shows 48 oz. at 6%. Not a huge problem, but kinda weird.

If converting to some standard basis, wouldn't it make more sense to just make it 100%, for easier figuring in ppm?

Pro version of app on iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 17.5.1.

Just chiming in here as well with the same issue - Pool Math defaults to 6% when I want it to remain 12.5%
iOS 17.5.1 / iPhone 11 Pro. But it does the same on other iOS devices / versions, too.

Few side observations:
- I've never seen weird results that I did not fat-finger
- You cannot enter a fractional amount without a zero (i.e. 0.2)
- App forgets light / dark mode setting upon log-out / log-in
- Historical test data would look great in a trend / line graph. If im missing this, please tell me where it is :)
