I posted about my dying Prowler 920. After long debate, I ended up cashing in a ton of Amazon gift cards I had from work, and I took the chance on the Sigma.
Ultimately, it had the combination of things I wanted. Ultra fine filters, Wi-Fi control, dual drive motors. The added year of warranty helped. I also considered the E70, but I didn't see any features there that justified the value, for example, I have no need for a caddy, it would just sit and collect dust and eat up storage space.
I figured if it got caught on my drains or in my stairs as some reviewers wrote, I'd just return it to Amazon. Fortunately, after 20+ cycles and more than a week, it hasn't got stuck once. I love that I can just restart it from my phone from anywhere. It also moves really fast, probably twice as fast as my old robot. The app is quite refined, and although the manual steering isn't crazy precise, the app works well.
I also got a Betta SE Solar as they're on sale. I've only had it for two days, but it is peak Oak pollen and bug season here in Central Texas. That thing is incredible, it just purrs along and sucks all that Crud up. Sadly, it gets hung up on the Sigma's cord so not best to run them at the same time, but I don't leave robots in the pool, so I pull the SIgma and let it run for a day per week. The other 6 days, the Betta just does it's thing, never needing to charge.
