Dolphin shutting off after 20-30min

First day I could use the brand new Dolphin Titan PS in the new pool and it wouldn’t run more than 20-30 min before stopping. Power supply still lit up likes it’s on but it doesn’t move. Anyone else run into this issue? If so, was there an easy solution? Very frustrating spending nearly $1000 on something that doesn’t work.

Sadly, it could be a motor issue … luckily your under warranty so you should be able to get it fixed. I went back to using a suction cleaner because my robot only lasted 5 seasons before it died and repairing it is not worth it. My suction cleaner does a good enough job so the decision to switch back was easy. I know lots of people prefer robots or don’t have any other good cleaning options so you’re kind of stuck with Dolphin’s repair and warranty options.

Closing the loop on this in the event anyone else runs into a similar issue. I talked to customer service and it sounds like this is a common issue with new cleaners. During the shipping process the boxes get tossed around and often times the motor get slightly misaligned which triggers the motor safety to stop the machine after a short time to avoid damage. They sent me a video
on how to realign the motor (took all but 2 min) and everything works as it should now.

Great to hear. I bought mine about a year ago (or was it two now?) and it had this issue. I ended up sending it back to Maytronics and having them send a new one. Sounds like they figured out what was going on and have an at-home fix!
