Hi all -
I have a Maytronics Dolphin S300i that is about 3 years old. It seems to be having an issue moving while underwater. Earlier in the year it did similar, and I switched the right rear wheel (non-drive) with the left right wheel (drive side)...and it was good up until a couple of weeks ago.

The tracks and brushes still look good, and the cog/drive wheel that interlocks into the rear wheels look ok as well. What's interesting as both rear wheels look ok...but when the smallest amount of force is placed on the wheels while the motor is running it seems to "skip".

Any ideas on where to start replacing parts?

Thanks - Chris

You might check out the this thread, post #284. Sounds like it could be a similar issue.

Yeah. That’s my thread 👆. I got new wheels with new bushings but that did not totally solve it. I have a new rear brush on order. It seems that the bushings and the wheels can get pretty worn down and then that leads to the treads skipping. My treads were new last season so you might need to replace those too. The brushes and wheels are all cheap, maybe $50 worth of parts but the new treads are expensive.

Don’t worry about the smaller “active” brush, that’s not the problem. It’s the combination of front wheels and the rear brush with stretched or worn treads. Basically you need to rebuild the entire drive train.
