I bought a Dolphin Liberty 400 cordless pool cleaner last week to replace an ageing Dolphin Supreme M4 that has done sterling service for many years. I have a hopper style pool with a safety ledge, so the internal shape is a little complicated. I checked with the supplier before buying and was assured that the new machine could handle this.
It can't! It launches itself off the safety ledge, flips over, and tumbles uncontrollably down the slopes of the hopper section before coming to rest at the bottom, often upside down or on its side. Thinking something was wrong with the machine I sent a video of this behaviour to the supplier who replied, "This is normal for this unit, it is set within its programming to assist it in turning etc so it will do this at times."
This is surely nonsense, isn't it?!
I'd welcome anyone's thoughts!
