How old is your bot? The symptoms you describe have been documented by others on this site. The bot does a quick system check at power up and if it fails it shuts down. If you are still in warranty start by contacting the manufacturer. If not then check this out.
I watched the video, which was really impressive and I bet I'll need it one day. But this doesn't seem to be the issue. The impeller spins with no trouble at all. any other ideas? Can I test the power unit without the vacuum hose attached?
Just wanted to say thanks for the video, that was what is wrong with mine when I tried to get it going this week. You just saved me from buying a new bot.
Resurrecting this. Our robot (Warrior SE) would suddenly stop after starting.
$22 later and all fixed (cost of bearings and puller). This video was great!
Few notes:
Yup, I rotated the magnetic cover/barrel 180 degrees. Robot starting sucking water rather than expelling. Luckily only took 5 minutes to rectify.
The recommended puller in the video was too wide for the bearing. I used a small stainless collar and it worked no problem. Needless to say, I need to return the tool as it requires modification. Already ordered a different one.
