Dogs swimming in pools

Wow, new to TFP and already my second post. I have a wonderful 110# chocolate lab who has liked to swim in the pool in the past, but now needs to swim for PT. Does anyone know if the dog hair is detrimental to the filter and if there is such a thing as a skimmer basket net to catch it all?

Line the skimmer baskets with disposable hair nets. The kind food workers wear. They can be had on amazon for about $6 for 100. That will catch the dog hair, but they filter pretty fine so must be changed regularly to prevent starving the pump.

I would be concerned about dog nails damaging the liner. Anyone else let their dog swim?
