I honestly cannot tell this forum that our product removes scale that is tightly bound to surfaces. However, we have learned that our hot tub purge product will reduce calcium discoloration and flaking inside visible clear tubing but it takes many revolutions of the water to push through the plumbing before we get it real clean. This also requires that you add a small amount of additional Ahh-Some gel after 15-20 minutes as the initial dose loses it's potency as it cleans. What we also learned many years ago is that swimming pools using salt water chlorinators for sanitizer that use our Ahh-Some pool Clarifier & Bio-Cleaner seem to get greatly extended service time from their salt cell. The Ahh-Some bio-cleaner seems to penetrate the calcium scale that readily develops on salt cell plates and keeps wiping them clean as the pump is running. Pool owners tell us they can turn their chlorine production way down after the first 2-3 weeks after first using the product. So, we do help to mitigate and remove certain deposits in certain locations. Again, we don't make this claim but we do see the benefits and hear similar stories from many consumers. Would I recommend the product as a stand alone calcium remover? No! I would not. In the many thousands of hot tubs using our sister product, Hot Tub Serum Total Maintenance, we constantly hear that salt cells are lasting longer than they did when not using the product.
Just today, I spoke with a gentleman from Oregon who was complaining about salt cell replacement cost for his hot tub before he began using the Serum. He is now getting extra mileage out of them. Our product works at the problem constantly but some deposits are very difficult to eradicate. Hope this kind of answers your question Duganderson. I think we spoke a few months back when you were considering using the Ahh-Some Hot Tub Purge product. Hope you are doing well Sir.
