Looking into robots for pool maintenance and there's a big cost jump when you get the ones good enough to do the waterline cleaning. Do I really need that? I can brush manually without it, though I'd rather not, but I'm not sure how much of a necessity it really is or frequency is required.

Without it, looks like Nautilus CC plus is the way to go, with it seems like I need a premium or sigma.

12k pool if my sig doesn't show it.

I don’t have a robot, but if you’re gonna spend the money I’d vote for getting everything you need in a robot including the ability for it to do waterline tile.

I use the waterline mode more than the floor. I have one area it can't reach, sun deck, and you can see where the cleaning starts and stops. I do scrub that area with a pool brush when I sweep that floor, but it doesn't look the same till I hand clean with a scrubber. Don't have a Nautilus but have Polaris robot.

Contact Marina- you will get the full warranty vs the reduced warranty offered on internet models as they are a brick & mortar & only do over the phone sales.
An explorer 30 or active 20/s200 model would have the waterline attributes without the price tag of a sigma.
Their actual prices are lower than the msrp listed on their site. They are also helpful in guiding u to the one that meets your needs - vs just upselling.
