I’ve done some research on mesh safety fences and am almost ready to pull the trigger on the Life Saver mesh fence and gate. I have a 16x32 in-ground pool that is surrounded by a wood fence. The pool is accessible from the back door of the house within the current wood fence, down the steps of our raised deck (with railings). So, I’m looking to install the mesh fencing on both sides of the deck between the deck stairs and existing wood fence to completely close off the pool area from the rest of the yard.
What I’m having a hard time figuring out is how to install the fence across a span that is not divisible by 12ft (section length) or 4ft (individual panel length)?
Ideally I would install the gate in the middle of the span, and one section of fencing on either side, but could have the gate start at the edge of the deck stair railing, and a section of fence from the gate to the existing fence. Even still, if the gate is 3ft wide, the entire span is 18ft, how do you cover 15ft with sections of fence that come in 12ft lengths?
I’m good with the rest of the install - assembly, drilling into the concrete, etc.
