Diving Board Replacement

My 6' diving board slightly cracked on memorial day weekend. It's an INTER-FAB which has been bought out by SR Smith. The issue I'm having is that my old board has 10" spacing between the 2 bolt holes and it's much harder to find. Where as the 12" bolt spacing board is easier to find and cheaper. My question is, can I simply purchase the 12" bolt hole board and drill holes to match my old board? I have attached a picture of my old board.

Diving boards should not be modified without approval from the manufacturer.

Contact SR Smith for the correct diving board.

Anytime you modify a structural design, there’s a chance you may cause a structural failure. how about modifying the base to fit the predrilled holes? Much safer idea.

Diving boards can be a huge liability.

Do everything to code and per manufacturer instructions.

I have tried and tried... no answer there. I cannot seem to find anyone who can get the board any sooner than 6 weeks. Any suggestions?
