I purchased a old house with an old in ground Anthony pool, completely refurbished, but not sure what to do with the old diving board, Picture Attached.
I have boys that would love me to replace it with a new one, just not sure where to start since the single screw and rails are installed into the cool deck around the pool. The pool is 11 feet deep, 37,000 gallons, all new plaster, tile, coping, pool equipment, etc. Beautiful pool, just want to be able to have my boys be able to use the diving board. The existing board has rusted screws and clamps, nothing looks safe. Would love some advice and direction.

Thank you!

Take some detailed pictures of where everything goes and pull it all apart. Remove everything you can including the board. All of the screws can be replaced at the hardware store. Sand the brackets and clamps with 80-120 grit sand paper, if the rust comes off it is just surface rust and isn't really an issue at this point. Sand again with 220 or higher sand paper and prime and paint the parts to a color you like.

If the rust is worse and you can't locate new clamps and miscellaneous hardware try taking them to a auto body shop and see if you can get them to refurbish the parts. If there are any issue with the fiberglass board the auto body place should be able to or at least know someone who can repair it.

Ok that is great advice, I can do that. Thank you for the direction, I will start there and see what happens!

Unfortunately, they don't make new ones like that anymore with the springs. We had one growing up and that thing felt like it could shoot you into Outer Space. They only make the rigid ones anymore. I'm not sure if you can buy just a replacement board for them though and fix/replace the clamps and screws.

Interfab does make a model - called Baja which has dual exposed springs, but that is a rare one.
