DIP Settings - what do they mean?

I was investigating an issue with my pool equipment and one area I was checking out was the DIP settings on my my Jandy Aqualink RS with PDA. I also have a Jandy SWG, Jandy ePump, and solar heat. All the DIPs are in the default (off) state except 2 and 5. The enclosure says 5 should be in the off position during normal operation per the attached pic so I'm not sure why it's on. This system came with the house I purchased so I don't have the history on why it's set this way. Ideas?

Thanks in advance,

David,

Welcome to TFP... A Great Resource for all pool owners with DIP issues... :drown:

DIP switch 5 allows you to turn off delays.. as an example: if you are running your heater and turn off your pump.. the automated system may "delay" your pump turning off until the heater has had a chance to cool down.

I see no reason for you not to return switch 5 to its off or default position.

Switch #2 is on when you have a two speed pump. So in theory, if you select Aux 2 it should turn on the low speed for the pump.

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
