We're 6 weeks post fill. Startup was horrendous. PB canceled the startup company after 2 weeks, but didn't tell us until I asked a week later. I've been maintaining chemistry since week 3 using a Taylor test kit. I saw the startup company add acid, pH up, and stabilizer. I never saw them add calcium. We've noticed calcium deposit picked when the vacuum picks up. I've been using some TriChlor tabs I had on hand and adding acid twice a week (acid adjusted to -0.3 CSI biweekly). I plan on testing CYA and using liquid Cl when the tabs run out in a couple weeks. My main concern is the calcium deposits. Is this normal or something to be concerned about? Current levels:
FC 4.2
pH 7.7
TA 130
CH 390

Welcome to TFP.

CH of around 400 is fine.

Post pictures of the calcium deposits.

Thank you.
It's white powder-like in the vacuum catch bin. Will post picture next weekend when vacuum runs again.

That is probably plaster dust. I would not worry about what is loose and your cleaner picks up.
