I have seen concentrated bleach that has been available such as Clorox outdoor bleach which had no label for % amount of the chemical for chlorine values. I have tried looking online and can't find a value or it said the value was a trade secret. If I got this how do I calculate how much I need?

Nearly all household bleach is 6%, at the highest. Be ware of Clorox products as all have additives. The Outdoor bleach you mention has polymers in it. Not recommended for use in your pool.

Look for liquid chlorine/shock. Home Depot, Walmart, Pool Stores, Ace Hardware, feed stores, etc. Usually 10% or 12.5% concentration.

Watch out for the dollar stores, their bleach is very weak. Forgot the exact number but I believe less than 3%. Strength not listed on jug label. Also, many of household bleach jugs are now less than 128 FL OZ. 120 OZ I think maybe. Sad. They aren't exactly lying, it doesn't say 1 gallon on label, just looks like the gallon jug. :(

Bleach/liquid chlorine is a commodity. Typical price is about $3 for 128 oz/1 gallon of 10%. That says for $1 you are likely getting a gallon of 3%. You get what you pay for.
