Coleman Pool Issues

Hi, my husband and I recently got the Coleman power steel swim vista series with Windows and that was a BAD idea, seam around windows are leaking and we can't seem to fix it, my husband has emailed Coleman about the issue and still have not heard back from them, I was hoping i could get their contact info from you assuming my husband might not have the correct contact information.

Thank you, Judy

We bought the same Coleman pool and a window started leaking last night. Even before purchased in the back of my mind I wondered if that would happen. My husband said no way to fix at the seam so he sent in warranty via online which wasn't easy since there server kept kicking it back! I went on there facebook page and complained and messaged them my info.

We are having the same issue with the windows. I called 855-838-3888 and started a claim. We will see what happens in a few days. You can also go to the best way website and try to file a claim. Take a pictures of the Batch # (located by the drain valve), the windows that are leaking, and your purchase receipt.

My husband just applied pl marine grade loctite on all windows (inside and out). Hoping it holds. Waiting to see if we will get the replacement liner. Will not invest in a pool with windows again.

We are having yhe same problem. One of our Windows craft and we just bought this pool in March. We should we noticed a leak in July right underneath the window we have no idea how it happened but we have tried everything and nothing seems to help us actually making it worse. Did they ever help you out?

I know this is an old thread, but my window just sprung a leak (well, more like shooting out a stream). When you applied the loctite did you do so underwater or drain the pool down to where the water wasn't over the windows? Thanks!!

We have the same pool except we got it last year. We have tried what our pool place has told us and it just keeps getting bigger. Ours in no longer under warranty which sucks.

We had 4 bad leaks around 2 windows when the seal gave way then ripped bigger. So I drained the water below the windows, and used Loctite PL Marine Adhesive Sealant. It formed a watertight seal and has not leaked yet. Using a platic putty knife, I spread it on the inside and out (out as a just in case), and let it cure for the 24 hour period. Just make sure to spread it at least an inch (or two would be better) around the leak in all directions and let it dry. We tried patches, flex tape, gorilla tape and others. All garbage under water! Use Loctite and protect your investment!

I bought mine in June of last year and I did not buy a warranty. I was able to call Walmart and get the receipt. I then went on Bestway website and started a claim. You will need receipt, batch number off of pool and a picture of the leaky window/s. I submitted the claim yesterday and got an email today saying the claim was approved...YAY... I think because it is a manufacturers defect they will replace it without you having a warranty... Worth a try...It is the same pool liner, but they are claiming the problem has been fixed...

If you have or can get a copy of the receipt you can go on Bestway website and start a claim, even if you did not buy a warranty. Well, just thought I would share this here since this is the first thread that pops up when searched on google. PL loctite marine sealant is a lifesaver, however, you would have to just keep applying and waiting for new leaks. The seal between the windows and the vinyl cant take the pressure on the sides of the windows, in particular... I took 4 inch ratchet straps (preferably, but small ones will work in a pinch) and wrapped them around the whole pool. Just along the bottom and the tops of the windows. I was afraid to put them directly on where it seems to be letting go. Tighten them enough to take pressure off the windows, let the ratchet straps hold the pressure instead of the vinyl/windows. Come up with some "pillows" to put between any metal/sharp parts of the straps, so they dont wear a whole in the vinyl.

I get the feeling that windows in a vinyl pool are a terrible idea. Crazy no one tested this long enough to find the issues. There's clearly something very different between vinyl that you can see through and the vinyl used for the pools. It doesn't appear they work well together at seams. The pools all have seams that stand up to time and water just fine however. Sorry to hear you all are having such issues.
