Coleman above ground pools pump upgrade questions

I’ve had a Coleman powersteel 18x48 pool for about 3 years now. I desperately need to upgrade filtration on the pool. I’m looking at the intek sx2800 sand filter sold on Amazon. Does anyone has any experience with this filter? Or is there a better option? How do you go about connecting a pool vacuum to the new upgraded pump? Around where I live we run out of filter cartridges locally by mid June, adding to our frustrations. Any advice would be very appreciated.

I would personally go for the 16" sand filter combo, more filteration is never a bad thing! You would benefit from a skimmer box addition! :) The good thing is, you can get the best priced one you can find.

It depends on if you have a skimmer or not. Adding an external skimmer makes a world of difference!!
