Chlorine or bromine

G’day folks.

Simple question: Chlorine or bromine in your hot tub?

And why do you use the chemical you do?

Chlorine. Cheap, effective, traditional, etc.
Dichlor (correction) at first and moving to liquid bleach at CYA 30-40.

Chlorine, used it in the pool and already now how to use it effectively for the tub.

I think you meant dichlor

Chlorine. Same reasons as above easy, cheap, predictable and already in use for my pool.
PoolMath doesn’t calculate bromine and I’d rather not deal with the complication of using both chlorine (to activate/shock) & bromine when I can simply just use chlorine. “One less thing” as Forrest Gump says.
I personally also had a bad experience with a bromine tub in a rental - although I imagine that wasn’t necessarily the bromine’s fault- more than likely a poorly maintained tub.
