Chlorine. Same reasons as above easy, cheap, predictable and already in use for my pool. PoolMath doesn’t calculate bromine and I’d rather not deal with the complication of using both chlorine (to activate/shock) & bromine when I can simply just use chlorine. “One less thing” as Forrest Gump says.
I personally also had a bad experience with a bromine tub in a rental - although I imagine that wasn’t necessarily the bromine’s fault- more than likely a poorly maintained tub.
