Could anyone recommend an inexpensive robot under $200 that is able to pick up and hold onto dead algae dust on the bottom of the pool? And I've never used a robot before....are they gentle on the liner? Thanks!!

Even if you can find it but it won't cure the problem if it's a chemistry problem which it sounds like as you say in another thread "struggling a month ...."
