Hey all,
Having trouble with the pump. It runs fine when it runs. When I shut the pump off to vacuum, I haven't had it fail to turn back on. When I shut the pump off to remove the vacuum from the skimmer, 9/10 all I will get is a hum. I have very limited electrical knowledge, however, I was able to remove the run capacitor, located on top of the pump. I tested for uF and it seemed to have the correct capacitance (~50). I did notice the number slightly dropped by tenths, it did not hold at 50. I have tried to clear the impeller but I believe there is a housing that is blocking me from doing so. It is my impression that the humming and failing to run would be the run capacitor and not the start capacitor (if it even has one). Anything I should attempt to do myself before ripping the pump out and taking it to a shop?
Thanks
