Carvin light is dead. Are my only options to either leave it there or drain my pool and replace?

So I have a Carvin Starbright installed in the wall of my above ground pool about a foot below the waterline. If I knew it was only going to last just over the two year warranty and then die, I would have asked them to just not install it.

Anyway, it's not working and seems to one dead now and I am left with this non-functioning light in the wall of my pool. I am guessing I should just leave it there for now and maybe at the end of the season, drain the water down to take it out. But then, is there any other option than getting a new one to fill the space? I loved the light, but I would rather not get another one if this is going to happen again. I don't think there is a good option to patch a 4 inch hole in my pool wall, but I don't really know.

Any suggestions?

If you don't want to replace the light with another that fits the hole then I would leave the inoperative light in as a plug.
