Hi All,

I'm hoping someone can help me. Yesterday I realized my pump was dead and had tripped the breaker. Turned it back on, flipped the breaker again. Tried "jumpstarting" using a screwdriver and that worked. I let it run all night, turned it off and back on this morning, nothing but humming. I am able to "jumpstart" the pump any time, but it will no longer start on its own. I'm sure it is a bad startup capacitor, but I can't for the life of me find where it is hidden. There's no "hump" on top of the pump and it isn't hidden behind the plastic cover. I have a 1.5HP Eco Kleer pump (see the link below). Any ideas?

Thanks,

Yes, if you look at the picture, on the right hand side there's a black plastic cover that is held in place by a single small screw in the middle of the cover. The cover also has the on/off switch mounted to it. The cap isn't behind that cover.

It heard you were about to do brain surgery on it. ;)
