Can't connect to bluetooth on DOLPHIN Proteus DX5i

Just received my DOLPHIN Proteus DX5i vacuum. It seems good so far. Except I can't connect it to the bluetooth on my phone. It will initially connect, but then disconnects within 20 seconds, and I have to start the whole setup process all over again. I am using a modern (less than a year old) Android phone with the latest app. Anyone experience this before?

big issue with Bluetooth is that you need to be within a short distance to communicate with the device. If you’re out next to it and it still drops, then it’s likely a problem with one “end” of the link. You can try resetting the phone or the robot to see if that helps, assuming you have all software updates applied. You might also try a different phone to see if you can isolate the issue to the phone or the robot.

I hate bluetooth for the reason that it tends to have problems like that.
