Yea… I tried Amazon too but nothing I found said it would couple the two hose together via original twist on lock. I even searched Home Depot and Loews for Male NPT 1.5 connector.
You ask a very good question. When backwashing I need a hose that is longer than the single intex hose. Would you recommend a different option to achieve the length?

ah that is what it is for. I taped mine with white gorilla tape to a length of 2 inch pvc and plumbed that on out to where I wanted the water to go. so if it is just backwash you could probably even tape the two lengths together. mine isn't 100% leakproof but I haven't tried to fix it since it doesn't hurt anything where the small amount of water goes.
I don't thing they make double threaded couplings so you would need a couple females and a real short piece of pipe too. that would be a total of 5 parts between your two hoses. Tape sounds easier to me. try something on the ends without using the dark nuts at all.
