Can Polaris quick connect fittings be used with Pentair hose?

Hello!

I'm attempting to replace my old Polaris PB460 booster pump with a Pentair Hydroboost and I'm wondering if the Polaris quick connect fittings that are attached to the existing plumbing can be used with the new Pentair hose? I know the Pentair pump has a different inlet/outlet diameter (1") so I'll have to use the Pentair fittings on the pump itself but my existing plumbing on the other end of both hoses has 3/4" threaded female ends to accept the smaller Polaris fittings. Also, if the Polaris fittings can be used, can anyone tell me if their smaller diameter will have a meaningful impact on the booster pump's performance?

Thanks in advance!

PS - Assuming the fittings from both companies are compatible, maybe an easier alternative would be to connect the existing Polaris hoses to the Pentair pump via the Pentair fittings? (the Polaris hose/fittings are only a year old)

You are going to get 2-1" MIP hose adapters for the pump and 2-3/4" MIP hose adapters, that look just like the ones you have now. You will also get new hose that is the same as the Polaris. If you don't want to remove the two 3/4" adapters circled you don't have to. The easiest way to get the hoses to fit over the adapters is to put the ends into some hot water for a few seconds to soften the hose. Makes assembly easier.

Awesome, thank you! I didn't notice that the new hose kit had two different fitting sizes. That makes the swap much more straightforward.
